NASCAR leaps into the Nineties - EFI !!!
NASCAR takes 'really big step' with fuel injection - Oct 19, 2011 - NASCAR.COM

I think the Throttle Body and Fuel pressure ought to be Nascar standard. But everything else ought to be Mfr originated.
That would put some flavor back in it. Chevy could run a spider system.

LOL at a spider system.. tff
ANYway... a friend of mine at work knows everything there is about nascar. He has season tix to daytona, he has the front clip of Jr's car that was raced in the 50th daytona 500 when Jr was turned around. He is a nascar FREAK! Tell you stats from anyone that's anything &/or upcoming. He IS pissed that he got into the line for another racer for an autograph when Trever Bayne's line was right beside him.
WTF is this kid going to do in his 1st daytona 500?! OOPS!

Guess we'll start seeing breakdowns left & right now on the track. Crews running across the track with Tech-II scanners ...
There's a reason carbs was used for 40 years - they just plain work.
