Ok i need All the information everyone can muster up about ABS Brakes... for a 2000 S10 Blazer, 4x4

I need to know about the ABS sensors, how to remove them from the hubs, what would cause the ABS to kick in when traveling at very slow speeds, when trying to stop the truck at red lights and such... the abs kicks in every time.

i need to know where ALL the sensors for the ABS are as well as know what does what and the anatomy of abs.

sorry for needing THAT much info but after a YEAR of not being able to get it working right and the abs kicks in constantly im getting near to fed up and ready to sell the truck and find something else... so in a last ditch effort i'm going to need as much info as i can. thanks guys!

Thank you. I have someone who is going to take the truck tonight so i am hoping to be able to print out a mess of information for him from you guys. He swears up and down there is NO way to get the sensors free from the hub bearings... when I know that some of you have done it. so any help is appreciated highly.

 

I probably have an extra sensor in my toolbox. I can't remember exactly but I believe they're held in with a 4 or 5 mm bolt.
Important:The new speed sensor will have a new O-ring. Dispose of the old O-ring. Lubricate the new O-ring lightly with bearing grease prior to installation. You may also lubricate the sensor just above and below the new O-ring. DO NOT lubricate the bore.
Install sensor into the hub and bearing assembly
Tighten
Tighten the sensor mounting screw (5) to 18N·m (13lbft).

 

Chevy Lover, thank you for being on top of this. He took my truck last night and is bringing it with him this morning to work. So i'll link him to this post and to the PM that you sent me I'll email that to him. Hopefully it'll help him shed some light on this. He said there is a TSB on the ABS issue but for some reason my truck seems to be stubbon about it.

Well he did testing to find that the sensor in the driver's side front doesnt respond properly.

So he's getting me the sensor and hopefully that'll take care of it.
