Default Need help

Hey guys im new to the site.I am looking to by a 2001 blazer 4.3 4wd

my question is the dealer told me the battery was dead so they jump started it and while drive the warning light kicked on(abs, check engine, ect, ect)
i know that the abs is for the bad wheel bearing.

should all the lights kick on with just a bad battery? It prolly needs a alternator correct?

i plan on buying this and lifting and mudding the hell out of it

thanks guys

take it on a test drive and stop by an autozone or local equal and have them scan codes.
if a dealer/seller wont let you get it tested independently then RUN AWAY!!!

this is true, but with the battery being dead all the codes will be cleared.im just having a bad brain fart.
if the alternator is not putting out enough volts it may kick the lights on
or if the battery has a bad cell it will kick them on

Taking the truck for a test drive and going through each step of the GM Drive Cycle should trigger any codes that may have been present prior to the battery going dead.

General Motors Driving Cycle never heard of it but leave it to Kyle to post it. I might just do that, just because.
