Default New Blazer Owner - Garage Servicing

Just bought a 1999 LT Blazer and am interested if any other UK owners can recommend good garages in the North East for servicing who know a bit about these motors.

Thanks.

Is it just me who thinks the whole point of these types of forums is to learn how to maintain your vehicle yourself and skip going to a garage?

Fair comment, and I do undertake a lot of work on cars myself, but there are some jobs which I consider very messy and better done in a workshop with a proper vehicle lift etc. rather than getting oil all over my driveway.

There isn't much UK support for these cars, so I was hoping someone from the UK who has owned a Blazer for longer than me would be able to point me in the right direction so that should I need them I don't take it to a bad garage who is gonna mess up my new pride and joy.

Not so sure about the north east but i have found a garage in Nottingham who will service these. It is based in the garage workshops of the former Central TV studio's on Lenton Lane, now Nottingham university castle campus.

They are US car specialists & can work on any GM motors including Corvette & Pontiac, as well as Chrysler & Ford. With modern 'engine management' & fault codes etc.. to understand, I can see why you ask the question

I have used PoniacJeep Uk. Steve there is a mine of info on Blazers and has loads of spares.
He is based in Holme on Spalding Moor, near Market Weighton so North East ish!
They have a website which gives all the contact details.
Hope that is of some help.
