New engine address
Hi guys,
I decided to go for a new or new rebuild engine. Do you have any tips where to look for it in the US? It needs to be shipped to Holland so the company has to be trustworthy.
It is for a Blazer 1978. I am thinking to get a 5.7L between 200 and 300 HP.
Thanks!

Its going to be expensive. Have you considered removal of your old engine and take it to a machine shop in your town to put in the mill? That way all you would have to pay for is new parts for the old engine... I cant imagine what shipping on a long block over seas would cost. There must be a cheaper alternative for you.
You would take the old engine to the machine shop and have them take the cylinders .040 overbore, and the berring channels .010 over mill. Then you buy this kit and have them put it all back together. Voilla, a little more power, and freshened up your original engine for about $1000 cdn or so. Much cheaper than shipping a new engine.

If you are really gung-ho for a new engine, I have never heard anything bad from Summit Racing. They have top notch engines and you would not be dissappointed.

When I would go for rebuild I need to bore to .060 and I have heard from several people this is not the best way to go. Also, new parts are also not cheap
