The tranny you have would work fine. You would need a Tcase, front diff and axles, scrap the SALA front end you have... Its alot of work man...

You might want to look at guys who have done a solid axle swap, thats your best bet. Or take the 4WD components off some other vehicle that is common where you are, and just have the driveshafts made to fit.

solid axle swap all the way. If I could go back and do it all over again I would have went for the solid axle swap instead of a trailmaster 5" lift. Instead I will still be doing a solid axle swap eventually but I wasted money on the ifs lift and body lift. oh well its just money right....LOL at least I am sure I can sell the trailmaster kit to someone on here once I am ready for the solid axle swap...

He would need a complete 2wd different transmission too. The main shafts are different lengths for 2wd and the transfer case. unless he takes apart the whole trans and swap shafts from a 4x4,he's not gonna beable to put a case on a 2wd transmission.

the suspension is completely different too. balljoints face down on 4wd,2wd face up. I think the struts are placed differently too. Buy a 4wd blazer, they are a dime a dozen.

the 4wd frames are different too, you can't just bolt up 4wd parts on a 2wd frame. Better off doing a complete frame swap, or buying a 4wd truck.. Alot cheaper in the end.

ya thats true too the frame wont have the mounts for 4x4 parts so its just better off buying a 4x4 truck. saves money and time that way
