New to me 1979 K5 Blazer!
Drove 350 miles and 5 1/2 hours over this past Sunday to pick up a pretty sweet 1979 Chevy K5 Blazer. Its the Cheyenne trim, crank windows, manual locks, working cold A/C, dual exhaust, 350 4bbl/ turbo 350, NP205 transfer all riding on 33" BFGoodrich Mud Terrains.
She sounds pretty good and its pretty loud, body is in great shape for 34 years old, and runs almost perfectly. Guy I bought it from thought it needed a head gasket and didn't want to do the work on it so I got it pretty cheap. Black with red interior. Everything works, down to the cigarette lighter but the rear window which I'm pretty sure the gear on the motor is stripped out. Has cruise control, but its temperamental. Overall, I think I got a pretty good buy! Drove it all the way back to central Pennsylvania with no issue, and took it out off roading as soon as we got back to break it into PA! Been driving it ever since!
