I'm no mechanic by any means and don't know if this will be a dumb question or not. I kinda feel like it is but because I don't know, I have to ask... If I take my dashboard out in order to replace the heater core, can I still drive the Blazer if I don't get the job finished? Any help is greatly appreciated

Correct, I believe you slide the dash out far enough to get the heater core out.
