Default New Stuff

Hey all,

Just thought i would share some pictures of my new additions to my blazer. I picked up some clear corners, black and red bowtie, and a new hunter brush guard. The pictures i have right now are not the best as its in the sun, with my camera phone, and Dale is really dirty right now. At any rate do enjoy.

Edit: Apparently its so bright out that my camera gave up and put a black dot in the middle of where the sun shines, LOL

ROFL!!!!!!! Now im gonna think of that everytime as well. Actually i think i got a bunch of those (in yellow no less) in a closet somewhere.....hmmm, photo oportunity......anyways. Speaking of photos i just got Dale cleaned up and polished with that turtle wax ice stuff, which works pretty nicely i must say and i just took some pics. Its dusk but i think they turned out pretty ok. I added them to the same gallery as above.

Wow looks awesome. That is pretty much what I want to do but maybe a little higher. I love the grill guard and the KC lights, where'd u get the lights from and about how much were they. Looking awesome, sometime bad stuff happening brings awesome things in return.

Yeah, i do remember, ironic, no? As for the tire carrier, well i got a wild hair up my butt one day and said ya know, ill bet dollars to doughnuts that the tire carrier on a 2 door will fit a 4 door. To make sure i made a cardboard template of my truck's rear curvature and then put it up to my buddy's 2 door and son a of a gun its the same. So i found one on ebay for cheap and picked up some hardware from ACE Hardware and went to town. Had to get creative to get the bolts in. I removed the rear interior panel and had to cut away some of the inner sheet metal to get access to the outer shell of the vehicle. After that it was just lining up, drilling holes and bolting it up (use big washers to spread the weight so it doesnt warp the body)......untill i got to the last 2 bolts above and below the tail-lights. Had to switch to a hole saw and a body saw to cut away parts of the inner housing to the tail-lights. After that i just put in the bolts and was done. Now the striker plate. That is still a work in progress. I have the original one on there with self tapping sheet metal screws but i had to cut part of the striker plate away to fit around the lift gate handle as i dont have a tailgate setup. Eventually im gonna clean it up and and weld in a piece so it looks like its supposed to fit there. For now, eh, it works.

Heh, actually those arent real KC's but they are amazing close. They are made by Blazer Original Equipment and they call them their Baja Tough lights. You can get them at any checker, advance, autozone, whatever for cheap. I didnt have to pay for mine because the insurance companycovered them.Placing them side by side with KC's they are nearly identical. Down the mounts, bulbs (i think), and the metal loom that covers the wires they are practically the same. Even brightness wise they are pretty much dead ringers for the same. Then for an added touch i went to pep boys and got a set of KC light covers. So basically i got knock off KC's but they are "Blazer Original Equipment" so that makes em better.

And give me time on getting Dale taller. Rims, tires, and body lift aint cheap ya know, LOL. I actually had to crank the T-bars one more turn because this brush guard seems to weigh down the front more than the waag did (i think it sets out further). For the record that puts the T-bars at 6 turns and i have a near perfect rake towards the front............andfinally i got a lower ball joint thats starting to sound like its going bad (pops on big bumps every so often but for 140,000 miles and now it appears, that aint so bad). Im watching it though so im taking stuff easy and it will be fixed within a month or two, depending on finances.

Good to hear. I was thinking about some cheaper off road style lights but need to get a brush guard first, in addition to my PIAA driving/fog Ion crystal lights. How fast was the shipping on that brushguard? Well we will look forward to seeing changes in the future then, and you can look my way in a while for some changes too.
