I was going to head to the New York State Parks office today to pick up my beach access permit but opted not to due to the snotty weather. I guess there is always next week, besides I still have to get a copy of my wifes license and registration so I can get one for her truck also. I just hope that after I spend $140.00 on 2 permits that the beaches actually open this year because I am sure the state will not be to happy refunding the $$.

 

Whoa you have to pay just to go spend the day at the beach? That's crazy. I mean, even in Vancouver the beach is free, just parking anywhere near it is 7 bux per hour...

 

To go to the regular beach it is $10.00 for the day I think. The beach access is for 4 wheel drive to get to the outter beaches for fishing.
