what state are you in? seems out here most s10s rot away before they can even get close to that. one of the parts stores out here has a s10 with 360 on it, it just runs back and forth between the supplier and the store all day long, its a rusty piece of crap but it runs pretty good still.
my 93 s10 has about 210k on it and its the best running vehicle i own

At what mileage did you have the engine/transmission replaced? Just curious, I've got about 270K on mine; original engine/transmission.
450K miles is a ton, even if the engine has been replaced. Just getting the body to hold together that long is a feat!

I removed and installed the Engine 12/03 with 318,760 miles on the odometer. The transmission was replaced 08/06 with 366,221 miles on the odometer. Both engine and transmission are GM Goodwrench purchased from local chevy dealership. I had the parts counter deliever and pick up the core at a local trans shop at no extra charge. The local trans shop charged me $400 for the R/R. The trans itself was right at $1200.00. I have put more money into it than the cars blue book value but to me it is not just the value but what it would cost me to find a replacement car. I will keep this car going as long as I can. Repairs and maintenance are cheaper than monthly car payments.
Original engine was still running but was getting weak when I replaced it. The transmission was slipping at the time. I had it rebuilt once before and I decided to get a remanufactured GM Goodwrench vice rebuilding.
I have had no issues with either the Engine or Transmission. The car runs perfect. Every thing works. A/C was converted to R134 and blows cold. No dents, no rust. Interior nothing is broken. The only item I have not replaced as a wear and tear is the body mount bushings. A couple of years ago I replaced all the rear leaf spring/shackle bushings.

i always tell people out here if they are thinking about buying a older truck to just have one sent up from down south. last time i went to texas my brothers neighbor had a 95 suburban with 250,000 miles and the truck was mint underneath. my 1990 daily driver only has 200k on it and runs and drives great but with these winters its only got a few more years before it splits in half

Cool. my first ever blazer had 613k miles. motor was original. trans looked to be changed. got it for 500 bucks
it burnt 3-4 quarts of oil a week. but i could floor it and it would go. Sold it to a dude for 600 bucks. he said he was putting the engine in a astro, and doing a v8 swap on the blaze.
later he brought it by and he had a 400 chevy in the blaze, and painted 2 tone copper color and grey. man i miss that blazer. but at that time i didnt barely know how to change oil. stupid teenage years lol
