I get around 20-21 with almost 90% highway driving. I commute 160 miles per day and run it around 70-75 miles per hour and avoid jack rabbit starts. 2001 Bravada completely stock, although the encoder motor is most likely out - just waiting for the code to pop up before spending any money on it.

 

12.4. Just calculated it today. First time with the new motor. Mix of city and highway, hoping once I get my new chip for my computer that figure will rise a bit.

 

I was worried about performance when I replaced my engine. Thankfully beast is still hold strong at 22 with mostly highway miles. I went with a jasper engine. So far it has been better than the original.

Glad I am getting over 20mpg mixed on a 93 with 200k miles. Some of these numbers are crazy low!

 

So I have a 1993 s-10 Blazer Tahoe, 4.3L Vortec, test pipe, 2 chamber muffler, 1 degree hotter plugs, and short ram intake, auto tranny, not sure on gear ratio, I know it has the locker in the rear.

+/- 21mpg, I live on a windy country highway, and most of my driving is around 55mph. However, I do drive into town and it's 30 through most of town.

 

1994 Blazer S10 4x4

I do mostly short trips less than 10 miles as I use the Blazer for work. All stock. I drive it all year round. Some longer trips in between +500 miles.
Most trips are 50/50 highway secondary roads with a bit of city stop and go. I keep the car clean, no roof additions, the horizontal bars moved far aft to have a laminar airflow over the roof as long as possible and keep the two bars close together. Annual mileage is around 6'000.

Driving speeds are normally never more than 75 - 80 miles (105 - 120 km/h). But I can keep the average even when doing 80 miles for long highway trips.
Got it down to 17 mpg when stomping on the accelerator and keeping the foot there in Germany once in a while. It still peaks at 108 miles per hour (170 km/h) on flat highway.

I keep the service intervals at 7'500 miles (10'000 km) always changing oil, oil filter, air filter. Spark plugs new every 35'000 miles. Keep V-belt in shape. I fix all the snags it has and keep it in good running condition.

I'm monitoring fuel consumption since I got the car new in 1994 (21 years) and have a long average of 10.5 liters / 100 km (as we measure consumption in Europe) which equals to some 22 mpg.

 

01 Blazer 2dr, 2wd, 5 speed. 80% city, shifting around 2000-2500rpm and a few high revs around traffic. Synthetic oil, Gibson exhaust, 235/70r15 half tread, everything else is stock to my knowledge. Getting just over 18mpg, which is quite satisfying with me, considering our Grand Am gets about the same. Figure 20s are easy on the freeway, or city if I didn't have a lead foot. Getting rid of the Gibson exhaust soon and going with a more free flowing muffler(too quiet, and the size of a school bus muffler).

 

Mine is rock solid at 15. Whether 40 mph or 80. Synthetic front and rear, correct tires, and AC turned off. AC on, makes me long for a V-8!

 

I`m rolling @ 17 miles that`s just city driving no 1-10 OR 3-10.The one problem I`m having is that I have a 18 gallon tank, but when the low fuel light comes on I fill her up.It only takes 12 gallons to fill up.So it could me more not sure
