Oil change

Default Oil change

Hey, i have a 99 blazerLT 4x4 4.3 v6 and its the first time doing an oil change on this truck and I wasn't sure how much liters of oil do i put in? I tried googling it first but i got results from 4 liters, 4.5 liters and 5 liters so i just want to knowhow much do you guys normallyput in yours?

The owners manual says 4.5 quarts (4.3L) I normally put in 5 quarts (4.7L). make sure you fill up the new filter with oil before you put if on so your engine wont have a dry start.

5qts is the generally accepted quantity, but yes, the book does say 4.5qts.
