Um, I'm not very good at reading diagrams. This one is pretty simple though...the link you sent me before describes installing an OHC exactly like the one I already have. I don't see where/if it describes anything along the lines of converting from the one I have to the one I want, though. I don't know what to tap in where...am I just obnoxiously missing things that are right in front of me? I apologize if I am. I think I'm reading that diagram wrong, it has seven wires coming from the display? My stock one is six, and my new one is nine...confusion...

 

Well its the combination of all of it. 7 wires in the main harness, then the roof switch has to be connected, and then you have to run the orange wire to the lamp socket as well (fused power). Those are the 3 extra wires.

I'd say compare the colors of wires you have in the stock compass console to the diagram. As I see it...you should be missing yellow (class 2 serial), dark green/white (VSS), and orange (fused power).

As for the first link, I know its all in depth and what not, but you only need to read the part about wiring up the VSS and the Class 2 Serial wire. It gives a good run down on where to tap the wires in the dash

 

Cool thanks a lot for all the help. When I reach my next point of confusion I'll check back in. By the way pictures are still on the way. My camera has been at a friend's house and still haven't got it back. The two have identical internals except for the one connector with three more pins.
