1998 Blazer 4 door 4 wd
My parking brake cable broke. I can’t find a replacement anywhere. It is discontinued by the dealer. It is not on ebay. Anyone know anywhere that could have it?

Bruin supplied my front brake cable and my rear brake cables for my disc brake conversion. I needed the factory cable housings but rear disc brake connection. Very reasonable price.

The reason it was hard to replace the front parking brake cable is that the fitting is flanged on one side and has retaining fingers on the back side. The only way to remove the fitting even on a broken cable is get the fingers compressed to push the fiitting back through the mounting hole. You are underneath the dash with very little room to work. Installation is easy as it just snaps into place. I would work on getting the old cable removed even before I had the replacement on hand. It took me multiple attempts before I was able to get the cable out of the mounting hole. What worked for me was a long flat blade screw driver that I could push on the fingers with while under the dash. All the E-Brake fittings are the same it just that the confined space underneath the dash makes it a challenge.
