Could someone give me a pic of a starter that is on there truck? I have a 97 blazer and and need a pic for a reference point. Thanks for the help

 

All I can really see of it is the bottom, prolly not much help. What are you doing, maybe we can help?

well i had to up the bolt size to 7/16 bolt and use threaded insert. the starter seems as if it is to far away from flex point now and i cant remember if the outside mounting surface on starter sits flush with ear on block. the starter is up nice and tight with no gap so i think i got the height part of it down. this whole ordeal started with somone else drilling the holes offset... any ideas? thanks for the reply

 

Gotcha. So a pic of the starter installed, from the underside would help you out. I'll see what I can do tonight, unless someone beats me to it.

 

Here's a pic of my old one on my 95. It is a different engine, but probably the same mounting.
