hers a picture body relay block w/ circuit breaker,you have to unclip it and drop it down to change anything in it.

Looks like he lives in my neck of the woods. My wife's seat in her '89 is only held by 3 legs - one of them rotted right through. Condensation & salt on your shoes getting tracked in - does a number on things ...

Yes it does... you'll have some work to do besides skinning and soldering, you'll probably have to replace a length of the wire.

Also, heat shrink is your friend. I love that stuff lol.

The right way, or cheap/easy way?

Cheap & easy just takes a bead of 100% silicone caulk.
