Default problem with blazer

Not sure if im posting in the correct forum but i couldnt find one for tail light problems. i have a 1989 chevy s10 blazer 2wd. i replaced the bulbs to the brake / tail lights. my brake light works but the tail light doesnt. i checked the fuse and wires and everything looks good. i need help cause i have to take the blazer and get a lamp and brake inspection the dmv.

This problem is with only one side?
try checking the wiring harness under the rear bumper. Not sure on yours but there may be a connector under there that could be dirty or failing.
