I had an experience to day that I thought I would share with other Blazer owners....Coming home from work today...90 miles from home....the tensioner for my serpentine belt decided it was time to fail.....so after sitting on the side of the highway for 3 hours in 20 degree weather waiting for the tow truck, I thought I would try to help other owners save themselves from the same misfortune....whenever replacing your belt be sure to check the condition of the tensioner....it failed on me today...my belt melted the PLASTIC pulley and threw the belt.....so after spending $225 on a tow...$90 on the part and $40 for a new belt most of this expense probably could have been avoided....just a little reminder to check a VERY important part which is part of routine maintenance.......
