are you smokin' crack?!?!?!

have you actually seen one in person yet? i passed by a Ford dealer that was down the street from the air brusher's shop i had my brother's truck @ the other week, and those Raptor's look like all the other pieces of plastic crap out there today. in fact it looks worse-looks unfinished.

i'm not knockin' Ford (i actuall like thier SD's), but that Raptor is one concept vehicle that shoulda died on paper.

^^ x2

youre kidding right. A 40K truck that only comes in extended cab and a 5 1/2 ft bed. But i guess the locking REAR diff( no front), some upgraded front suspension parts that MOOG probably makes better, and some auxillary buttons that dont do anything unless you buy something to wire them too makes up for it.

I have to disagree with you two. I've seen the raptors up close out here on the road and they do look pretty sweet! They also sound as good as they look. I'd like to see chevy come out with a street legal baja truck like that.

There's a couple of Raptors around town (a black and a blue one). I'm very "on the fence" about them. There's no denying their off road capability (I've heard very good things about them) but the styling is questionable. It's very unique. I think the grille is the part that ruins it, not to mention those stupid decals plastered all over the bed. Lose the decals and come up with a less bland grille and it might be ok.

Now, back on topic. A K5 will never return (atleast not in this decade). It won't for the same reason the Blazer won't be coming back...but we've already gotten into that before. I would like to see another 2dr Tahoe though, which is pretty much the same as a K5. I think those were some of the best looking trucks on the road in the early 90's. I'd love to get my hands on a 2dr Tahoe. If they made one with the new style it would be incredible. The new tahoe's are sooo sexy.

I'll go for a 2 door tahoe with strong styling cues from the original k5! Sisk, the raptor does have an option to leave off the "mudd" graphics. If I was able to purchase one I would definately leave those graphics off. As for the grille, well I thought the hummer h1 and h2 both looked kind of strange when they came out.

Chevy unveiled a Silverado ZR2 at SEMA. Unfortunately there is no word on it making production.

God, what I would give to have that truck...
