I think the grille is the part that ruins it, not to mention those stupid decals plastered all over the bed. Lose the decals and come up with a less bland grille and it might be ok.

Now, back on topic. A K5 will never return (atleast not in this decade). It won't for the same reason the Blazer won't be coming back...but we've already gotten into that before. I would like to see another 2dr Tahoe though, which is pretty much the same as a K5. I think those were some of the best looking trucks on the road in the early 90's. I'd love to get my hands on a 2dr Tahoe. If they made one with the new style it would be incredible. The new tahoe's are sooo sexy.
x2 I'd love to see a 2dr Tahoe make a return to the Chevy line up. But for a k5 to come back we would have to be in a lot better state economically. Especially since GM now stands for Government Managed.

(Its a joke so anyone who is offended, get your panties unbunched)

and it would have to be available in 2WD, 'cause that would make for one smokin' ride!

This is what I'm talking about. The original body stlye which I believe was 69-72.
I love the look and body lines of these classics trucks. That's what I was saying that if I were to be the designer of a new restomod k5 blazer or tahoe I would use the original k5 as a reference point and try to incorporate as many styling cues as possible.

Again, I love the styling of these classic trucks.

Talking trying

ok im still doing some to my design wich i have to do intearior and suspention and im working on a new design for a motor ,but i have some great ideas and i think if theu did come back with it with the right body style they would sell and would sell good ,im always getting compla ments on my truck and i feel like it doesent look as good as every one thinks and every one loves them for the space and the top removal. one of my ideas i have is the the speed odomader would say 85 mph just like the old ones and when u have your dash lights on,or running lights, or head lights on ,it would do like a black light effect and light up the true top speed of it .on suspention i was thinking about doing a full independent suspention,or have opions of a stright axle.it would come in 1/4 ,1/2 ,3/4 and 1 ton. it would have a good amout of optaions

im planing on getting a nother older k5 to make the concept out of and take it to mud runs and shows to get it out there (but it would just be the body untill i get the rest ofthe ideas on papper .if gm dont want the ideas then ill just have to come out with my own car company and give it a new name .im desten to get a new k5 out and about and stomp crappy ford in to its grave lol.

if you look in my profile pictures you can see the body designs tell me what you think.

thank you

i redid the grill and lights on front of my k5 design to make it different looking from the 2011 silveroto(spelled wrong). redid the tail lights but ,keap the body the same as in my design pics ,new pics will be put up. im working on the suspention that has a combantion of a indepent suspention ,while still has the stright axle with leaf spings and coil over springs.

so I finally figured out why suv's like this are a dying bread. I read in the wall street journal today that suv's and trucks are becoming less "trucky" because of the fact that the government deems them death on wheels. Suv's with a solid frame tend to be higher off the ground and when in an accident with cars (lower to the ground) the hard frame hits softer parts of cars (sheet metal, plastic ect.) So in order to keep safety standards car companies are making their trucks and suv's lower to the ground and without a solid frame. Apperently in recent studies "new suvs" (crossovers) death rate when in a crash with a car is much lower. So actually anything like a k5 coming back or even an s10 blazer is highly unlikely because it will not meet new safety standards. I wouldn't be surprise if the tahoe and suburban were completely redesigned to meet these standards. Also in the maket today less and less people want large 4x4's that get horrible gas millage, most people want something with a reasonable amount of room that is awd or fwd that gets good gas millage and will handle some bad weather and maybe a dirt road or two.

Safety and Fuel economy are the major factors that are killing SUV's and even pickups. So if you love your giant suv, truck, or blazer hold onto it because you will never see one come off the line of new cars again. I read somewhere else that the 4runner will no longer have a frame in the coming years so that leaves the tahoe, suburban, and expedition suv's that have frames (unless you want a jeep wrangler...)

I love my "death on wheels" just another reason why people in little cars shouldn't drive like a$$holes around suv's and trucks

they should just make the cars a lil less wussy with plastic and tin lol.im also working on a motor design.and theres still alot of people out there that dont like lil cars .to me when u buy a suv your wanting to have a gas hog so u should be ready to spend that extra money. if they deside to take and stop making them im sure some one will find away to get them back .like i said if i have to ill come out with my own car company.ill get somthing figured out to make the motor still have the horse power and torq, but get good mpg.might even do away with gas and try to make it steam powered some how.

Wow that truck is beyond sexy. i really hope those come into production, that would put the stupid raptor to shame.
although i think the raptor is alright AS LONG as you can get past the fact that ford makes it.
