anyone else notice how this body style is kind of "swimmy" when driving?....i used to have a 99 and it was really bouncy and for lack of better word "swimmy" even after changing the shocks...and my cousin has a 97 and it rides the exact same

I know that for '02 there were more than one suspension package available so it depends on which one a particular vehicle had. Mine has the 'touring' suspension with Bilstein shocks and it isn't 'swimmy'.

Possibly just steering and suspension component wear.

I don't know... mine's pretty stiff and doesn't seem "swimmy".
Then again, the Xtremes have a firmer suspension lol.

Well, they offered two suspensions for the regular Blazers which were called "Smooth Ride" and "High Capacity" or something along those lines.
My mom's Bravada has that smooth ride suspension and it is quite a bit softer, and kind of floaty I guess. Swimmy just doesn't come to mind for me.

I'm with Rich, though. Could be suspension component wear.

I'll say that when I bought my ZR2 new it did have a somewhat softer ride than I expected. With the mods I've done over the years it drives like what trucks used to be. That is the ride I was looking for.

I've got the Z85 package on mine and the stock off the shelf shock(monroe or whatever) aren't dampened enough... Some situations, and I've seen others do this too, has the blazer riding along like a dolphin of sorts.

I run Rancho RS5000s and it is rock-steady!

I can say though, it does get blown around on the highway more than I like - especially comming around the front of a semi.
