Default rear window problem with an 01

wassup guys so i have a problem with my rear window wiper on my 01 4 door blazer it keeps getting stuck between the window and the door. any suggestions on how to fix it or make it glide over the gap?

the gap is about 3/4 of an inch and its just small enough for the blade to get stuck and i have to turn it on and manually lift it out of the gap for it to go on the window. anyone else have this problem?

IIRC, mine had a little plastic "holder" with a ramp that lifted the arm off the window when it parked. Does yours have that? If it's getting stuck at the bottom of its travel, when it isn't supposed to be parked, maybe you can unbolt the arm from the drive nub and move it a spline or two so it doesn't go down as far?

I found an old picture with the thing I'm talking about. Does yours not have this? You might be able to find one in a junkyard, but you have to unscrew it from inside the door. That's why I cut mine off with a Sawzall. Otherwise, I'd give it to you.

Yeah, that's weird. That little block should lift it off the glass at that point. I wonder if you just slightly bend the blade (straighten it out a little), if it would then hold it off the body. Maybe build up that block a little bit somehow?

I want to say I remember someone else had this problem a year or 2 ago lol...

I think it was the holder on the gate as you guys are mentioning... I think he widened the gap on the holder, or had to clean the arm. im wondering if the spring got pulled and its pulling the arm too hard against the glass. I would check that spring before bending the arm maybe.
