Exclamation Recurring fuel pump problem's

I have a 2000 chevy blazer lt 4.3 vortec. I am buing and replacing my fuel pump at an average of every 3 months. Please let me know what causes these recurring problems. I do have an aftermarket stereo but in no way shape or form are these two peices connected. Please help me i am on pump number 4 in the past year.

use ONLY ac delco or delphi pumps and they also (should) come with an updated wiring harness thats supposed to fix the premature failures.
