Default Removing 2000 Blazer Body Relay Block

I need to access the relays in the body relay block on my 2000 Blazer.

I have found the location of the BRB (body relay block) and now I simply cannot get it to come off of its mount.

I cannot see any clips or anything holding it to the mount. Has anyone ever removed this and remember how you got it to come off of the mount?

I tried for hours with mine today and couldn't get it out - which way does it slide? Does the whole come off and leave just a small plastic bracket?

Any help greatly appreciated!

u have to pull straight down with some force and it should slide off the mount. the mount it self is metal the bracket the mount slides into is plastic. when you put it back on it will be difficult to line up i just left mine free as i was running out of daylight

It's no problem at all. What I've learned is these things are picky and expensive to maintain. But i do have to say i love my old girl, shes been through a lot but shes still driving me crazy and laying rubber

It is beneath the driver side dash near the parking brake release.

Default Finding & removing the body realy block

I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy, which I assume is similar to the other GMC products of this area for locating the Body relay Block. This process takes about 30 to 45 minutes or longer depending on your situation, can even be done in less time. All you need is to remove a few panel bolts and screws, a flashlight and long flat blade screwdriver. Just follow the attached images. Good luck. My apology for the misspelling, if you have questions, let me know.

It is best to review all the steps before doing this.

This thread helped me visualize how to get to the BRB: https://blazerforum.com/forum/lighti...hematic-81664/
