well i guess i havent check the plugs in my blazer and it probably could use some seafoam to clean it out.

 

It all adds up. I didn't mention that I'm also running a k&n air filter, stock coil and plug wires. Switched the ac delcos for Bosch platinum 4's.

 

One day I accidently put in 89 with a 10% blend. I didn't notice anything other than I spent more in gas..

I have a friend who would fill up on 87 and kick the **** out of his truck, but when he'd pay the extra for 91+ he'd baby it... then tell me he's getting "wicked awesome mileage!" when I figured out why... when he'd fill up on 87 he didn't really care because it was so "cheap" and would pound the **** out of his truck, but when he'd pay the extra he'd get the mind set of "making this tank last"... For this reason I think in some cases (not all) the higher mpg's are largely due to the mental state of the driver after spending the extra coin lmfao.

 

So I topped off my tank and the mpg numbers came out to 16.5 mpg in town. Which means that my fuel guage is a little off by about a quarter of a tank sucks but i expected it given how much it sat before i bought it. I used 89 octane with a bottle of concentrated techron.
