No, not really. Remove the plug wires and two screws and it's off. Well, that is depending on what you are working on. Once you post up your vehicle information, I'll move your thread into the appropriate area. Remember to always provide your vehicle info!

It's only about a 5 minute job. Your approach must be wrong. two t15 screws and pull the plug wires and its off.

Kyle, i think your infamous quote of "put down the tools, step away from the truck" applies here.

best way to do it if your a newb is take the cab off and leave the wires on the cap, after installing the new cap hold the old cap next to it or above it and remove the wires off the old cap one by one and install them on the new cap so you dont mess up the order. if theres enough slack to do so

I took a bottle of white out and marked 1-2-3 lines on each side so I wouldn't mess the order up. It's alot easier.

since we don't even know what truck this guy is working on, that may not even be needed.

the cross fire caps have the cylinder # cast right into the terminal nipple.

pretty much idiot proof if you ask me.

It's something similar to that. There was someone from the UK who posted a while back and that was the first time I'd heard it too. I'll have to look back through my posts lol.

*Edit* Found it! https://blazerforum.com/forum/general-chat-34/service-parts-prices-54618/
It wasn't the rotor though, it was the distributor cap...errr, excuse me.."dizzy cap"
