Tire size calculator

^ Very helpful. I plugged in 235/75/15 as stock size and your 255/55/18 and they are marginally different. 20mm wider is about 3/4". How heavy are the rims on their own?

I would venture to say your rough ride is mostly from the 55 series sidewall. Which means going to a 16" rim with more sidewall will help ease the ride, as you are planning on doing.

OR, you can give her MOAR lift and find 18" tires with a 70-75 series sidewall, LOL.

No problem, rims are a very important decision and shouldn't be entered into lightly! LOL

I'm also thinking about just running my stock 4x4 GMC rims, powder coat them black, and run 1.5" spacers in the back to even out the stance. What's your opinion on that? It's the cheap way to go lol

I LOVE cheap. Unfortunately nothing I like is cheap. You can run 2wd steelies painted flat black. You can probably pick them up for around the same price as the spacers.

Like so:

No need to run spacers and front AND rear wheels will be pushed out.

Which stock wheels do you have? Some stock wheels look ok painted/powdercoated black, others don't. Do you have a friend that powdercoats? If not, it's pricey from what I've seen.
