Hey everyone. I've been doing a lot of thinking about trying to trade my 2000 blazer for a 99-02 Silverado (ext cab, 4.8 or 5.3, 2wd or 4wd). My blazer has 144k miles, is 4wd, gets an average of 18 mpg. My question to you guys, is do you think it would be worth it? I love my blazer, but I'm going to need a full size truck soon (lots of trips up north hauling stuff to and from). I've been looking at an '01 Silverado, has 172k miles (a lot, but depends on how it was maintained), it is 2wd and extended cab. It has the 4.8 v8, and I'm assuming it should get the same mpg if not better than what I get in the blazer, am I correct? any info would be appreciated very much!!

 

I had a 6.0l in my 03 and it was about 5 mpg worse than my Blazer. If you need a truck it would be a good trade.
