So Im new here, and have a few questions...
First off, let me introduce myself, Im Louie, Im 17 years old, and live in Kaukauna Wisconsin (just moved from Delavan). Now First off, I urge you not to treat me like a snotty teen (Iv seen the "Stupid Teens" thread) because I am every thing but that. I have been working on cars since I can remeber, and Have helped my older broth mod a few cars here and there. Like I said I just moved, so I currently dont have a job, no cash, and the only think I have to my name is a 1992 Chevy Cavalier 4dr RS. A friend of mine back in Delavan had an awsome 1989 Chevy Blazer, and it has allways been my dream to get an 80's modle S-10 Blazer, and mod the heck outa it. Like I said, I currently dont have a job, but the first think I plan on doing when I get a job, is geting a blazer.
Now where you guys come in.
First off, Im not really going to need help finding a decent one, but any help would be lovly in this area...
Also, for the last year or so, Iv been compiling a list of modifacations that I plan on doing, I started out by listing things my friends had, like a Chevy 350, and a Posi Rearend, and I search for wicked cool things that I liked... so basically my list is as such:
Jet black paint job, (fix/prevent rust of corse)
Lower just a little, and get a body kit.
some nice after market Rims (Black Chrome) and Run Flat's (No spare tire taking up valuable Speaker space) and small Wheel Spacers on the back
Tint the windows as dark as possible, shave all badges, do some Light mods such as LED under body, LED's in the Grill possibly one in each headlight setup to add a hint of tint, also, I would like to put stobe lights in some choice lights for show. Also possibly shave the Antenna, roof rack (if one) and everything possible (leave door handles and side mirrirs of corse)
Some where down the road drop a 350 in, and have the exhaust run out the side right befor the rear wheel.
As for the inside, I would like to see the Carpet get changed to Black, along with the dash, seats, and anythign else that isnt all ready. possibly a new Dash Gauge setup, and convert all dash lights to LED's. Also I would like to put LED's under the dash and seats to light up the Passanger area (Im thinking a Black and Red theme).
As for sound, I all ready have a nice amp, But would like to get 2 larger subs, and a new amp or two.
switch out all the speakers, and put in a new head unit, possible with a moterized screen.
As I said befor I dont want the spare tire inside, instead (going back to my buddies old one) we fabricated a shelf to sit in the back, it sat even with the top of the back seat, reached all the to the back, and acrossed the truck, completly blocking off everything below it. We just made a simple 2X4 frame, then took some thin MDF and screwed it on top of that. in it, we drilled out a few holes, and on the bottem attached 2 fans to help cool the amps and Sub's below it, and cut 2 holes for 6X9 speakers. also we drilled 1/2 holes, 1/4 deep and glued magnets in then constrcted and frame in the truck to hold it to, Carpeted, and no one could see any of his Amps or subs...
Now I know this was rather lengthy, and if your still reading I would like your input on these mods, and any others that you think would look good. I dont plan on having this done over night, I plan on taking years to finish, that I know, and Im sure it will get expencive, but I hope by the end Ill have a show ready Truck, that I can get good sponserships with, and be able to go to some of the best shows.
As I said, any input would be great, Thanks...
(Also anyone in the North East Wisconsin area feel free to talk to me)

I like the black and red theme!
And yes, you're right, not all teens are the same...it's more the lack of experience driving and impulsiveness that causes anyone, not just teens, to do stupid things behind the wheel.
Good luck with your plans, they are definitely ambitious (and expensive)!

Haha, yes, I like that theme very much, and would love to see it all come together...
and as for the Expencive part, yes it is, but Im hoping to come accrost a deal like a saw a few weeks ago:
1989 Blazer 2 DR 4X4
Rebuilt 350 all ready in it, only 10,000 on the engine, all body work done (the right way, not bondo) and had some interior all ready done. the only problim was it needed a new back hatch window, and the 4 tires didnt have the same type of rims, same size, but not design.
and I think it was only $1500, but the way I see it, the body work and a new 350, plus the added value of it being a blazer, that was worth it to me....
