im picking up a 83 k5 tomorrow and its 100 percent stock. since its leafs all alround i was going to do 3 inch blocks. ive previously done it on my old jeep yj and axel wrap was horrible. has anyone done this to there k5 before, and if so how bad is the wrap and will stock drive shafts and and brakelines and steering work. i no its the cheap easy way to do it but its temporary. thanks for any input

Stock driveshafts are hit or miss. I've put a six inch on a blazer and kept the stock shaft. Just did a 3 inch on my k30 and had to swap out the front. Also don't run blocks in the front unless its not gonna see street driving they are known to pop out. But as far as in the back. I got a 3 inch in my k30, a 4 inch in my s10 and ran a 5 inch for years in k5s never noticed any axle wrap

I would not recommend blocks on the front axle. Bad things can happen. I really do not like blocks at all, but if that is what you can afford, it is an option.
