Default spare tire question

So i have duals now and can't mount the tire on the underside of the truck anymore, i plan on adding a roof rack and putting it up there eventually but until then im just keeping it in the rear compartment, id like to stow it away standing on either side, any ideas on how to secure it that way?

i tried some bungee cords but it always falls over.

Could you strap it to your current roof rack?

Shoot, my jimmy had a spare tire rack on the back before we got it. Now, the spare just sits in the garage waiting to be used. So, I am of no use here.

I have before and it just doesnt look right for some reason, so ill keep it in the back until i get a legit rack, right now its just laying down back there which is fine, i just was trying to think of ways to secure on the side to get as much space back here as possible.

I think so Le, I never liked having it under the truck anyways. Honestly keeping it on the inside is probably best to keep it away from the elements, but i guess when i get a roof rack that wont be in the equation anymore heh

LOL I was!
I am not today though, and I am of no help when it comes to spare tires. Since mine is in the garage, spare tire carrier on the back was removed, and there is no room in the cargo area for it from the sub box.
