yea but that bumper if it shifted at all will pull your frame with it so your frame may not be "bent" but more twisted so your passenger frame tounge might be pushed back and the driver side pushed up....
not trying to be a total downer or anything but thats what the bodyshop might be seeing

sorry to hear that though man gotta say your blazer was...is one of my favorites on this site for sure !!

and i know in mn you can fix it yourself but im not sure if in WA if you did it yourself if they have to inspect it at all....

Yeah looking at the picture what you said looks about right because of how my fender is crinkled but yes i did find out you can fix it yourself it just has to be inspected and get a rebuilt title. Its not leaving my possession tho, no way in hell. Luckily i have receipts for most everything on it so the totaled value will be close to 6000 according to the shop.

Im definitely keeping my truck but depending on what i get from insurance ill buy something else. A 5 speed s10 ZR2 wouldn't be bad but i like gas mileage too

Damage estimate came to 3000 and that's just the preliminary estimate, they didn't look to see if the frame was bent.. why? I have no idea... im really tired of this shop already. Its obvious they are playing games, they told me they are waiting on the insurance company to tell them to fix it or not and that its not up to me. Which is not true at all, im the one who gets to decide if they fix it AFTER the insurance company does.

On top of that, i walked up to my truck parked on the side of the shop and it was UNLOCKED. And that was the second time. I wanted to scream

if you go to buy paint yourself get it color scanned and dont go buy the paint number on your truck, after so many years the factory color fades slightly and i might not look like it ....untill you have a very bright fender and a kinda bright door lol

great to hear its staying alive btw!!

Lol yeah that's what im worried about. What i really want is a blazer that's the same color as mine in the yard. And as luck would have it there is one going in the yard within a couple days that's the same color and in good condition too
