Any thoughts about building some sort of shield for the oil filter and the lines going to the block it's on? I'm scared that one day my winch line is going to bird-nest and take the lines out... Hasn't happened yet, but it's in the back of my mind every time I pull cable lol
I'll be under mine today so i'll look around the frame and see if its possible to bolt something in if you are just wanting to shield the oil cooler and filter mount which should be shielded by the splashguard already. would probably want between 1/8th-in to 1/4-in plate, if you are okay with welding or just attaching it to the back of the winch itself all you really have to do is enclose the rear of the winch, since its in the bumper you should have ample room.

Yeah it wouldn't take much, just some sort of barrier between the winch and the oil filter and lines. More or less for peace of mind :P
I often kicked myself for not getting one of these 20 years ago. Oh well, thanks to a Bronco II brush guard, and tri post interface..I have a winch that has never let me down.
pull 3 pins, unhook electrical and I can drop the whole thing off the front of the truck

I've been trying to DM you but the site won't let me.
Could you give me more information about this? I've been trying to get a synergy mount for ages, but they are perpetually out of stock and emailing the site owners hasn't gotten me a reply yet. The more I look at how it mounts I think I would rather have a setup like yours.
Do you know the make of the brush guard you used? I can't tell from the photo but I assume you removed the tow hooks and bolted the tri-post interface in their place? Where did you source the interface?
Getting a new motor put in right now and would like to get a winch properly mounted once I have it back.
