Default Tailgate

Hi guys,

Does somebody have a picture for me showing how the tailgate of a 1978 Blazer fits, especially the hinges. In my Blazer they made the back in 1 piece and I want restore it in the original state. But I get the feeling that the mounting will be a problem. Tried to look online but cannot find any picture showing how the tailgate is actually mounted.

Thanks for the help!

Attached is the illustration from the factory catalog. The hinges are item #29. To aid in lifting of the heavy standard tailgate on the Blazer/Jimmy, GM added torque rods to the mix as well. The rods are #57 in the illustration.
