taking the lower valance off.
I know a couple of you guys have it, wonder if mine would look any better. Think it would look good?

That's something you'll have to decide on your own. You can always put it back on if you don't like it. I don't know about your year model, but on my 97 it's easier to pull the grill and bumper and then remove the valance. I've had mine off, back on, and I'm now I'm thinking of trimming it like BlaziNator's.

I have done both trimed it. Then it got a good size crack so took it off. I can take a pic in the morning its to late an dark right now.

This is mine with the valence removed, but I have a different front end then you do. I just cant stand the front plate hanging down. I am afraid one day I am going to break it off.

dksdad, i love the way it looks! i like how you can see the front of the tires more. gives it more of an aggresive look i think.

Also gives you better front end aproach angle, I just need to move that plate.

I look into doing this soon.

word of advice on the plate.. don't push a ranger up a hill because it wont start..... it will rip your plate off :P
after that I just put some self tapping screws into my bumper with the plate, its holding pretty nicely and doesnt look too bad... i set it towards the passenger side
