I suppose it would a lil if one was about to go up/down something... but then the tow hooks/fog lights would be the next thing in the way.

Yea approach angle is the only thing I see it changing. Although most of the time you'd remove the valence so it doesn't get cracked...think about getting pulled out of a mud hole in reverse...that valence is going to rip right off[:@]

Doesn't look entirely terrible. It won't win any prizes, but it won't look like you just wrecked it or anything.

My buddy at work has a 97 blazer and removed his front valence...I'll see if I can't snag a pic for ya sometime this week.

Most everyone that has done a bit of playing offroad has either cracked or completely broken the valance off. Its only a matter of time when it will happen. I busted mine up the first time I went offroad and trimmed the outsides off but now the whole thing is off as I have continually cracked more and more of it.

yea I am already on my second lower valance. I broke the first one pretty bad the first time I went off roading. I would really like to see some pics of your friends 97 blazer. Is it expensive to get a brushguard and skid plates?
