Hey, I noticed you don't have a chrome stripe down the side of your truck. Did it not come with that, or did you remove it? Looks nice.

The boat & bike actually belong to my son-in-law.
The boat is currently at the boat yard & for sale due to lack of use & high gas costs - besides,we suck at fishing! My son-in-law also used itwhen he & his mates went diving. I don't dive so I used to mind the boat & feed the fish. LOL

The bike is for his daily commute into Auckland city & occasional ride with his mates up the north coast.

At last the rainy season is at an end & summer begins so the Blazer will once again get it's regular wash. With the roof lights it's now a hands on wash rather than thedrive throughoption.

Yea, loads of mud. Just need time to get there. Not bothered yet as still fitted with road tyres but soon we'll be riding the sand dunes at the beach. Otherwise it's my daily driver.

As for the chrome stripe down the side - some trucks from Japan had them, some not. Maybe one of their options. I blacked out the chrome strip on the billet grille. I'm not a fan of chrome.

Fishing...I hate fishing and it hates me.

I'm enjoying more working on my son's 95 blazer. He and I are having fun with.

Currently, I'm converting the vacuum actuator 4x4 to a directly locking cable pull system.

It was kind of funny...I didn't know just how well the 4 wheel drive was suppose to lock in.

So, off the three of us went (my son, my youngest daughter and me) for an offroad drive. We almost got stuck in a sandy, hilly area, but we managed to get out using what we thought was 4 wheel drive.

I have since found out that the front wheels where not operating at all! lol We could have totally been in a mess.

The vacuum actuator was totally shot. So, I'm pulling it out and running a cable to the truck cab. A fun little project.

I also got caught out the first weekend aftr I bought my Blazer. We went to the local beach & on the access road onto the beach the sand was very soft & powdery (from dozens of 4x4 useing this access before me) & got about 50 mtr down & the 4x4 did not engage. Had to get dragged out backwards by a Toyota Surf (Hilux). At least not by my son-in-laws Explorer - he was in front. If he had pulled me outhe would never have let me forget. Although he does remind me from time to time. LOL

Yea, the Kiwi is our national symbol. All New Zealander are also called Kiwi's. Hence kiwiblazer - not refering to the bird.

2 years ago when I was playing rugby the coach told us we had a kiwi coming to play with us. At the time I had no idea what he was talking about. Didn't wanna feel stupid so I went home and looked it up on line. Funny thing is I have 2nd cousins that live in New Zealand so I should have known.

Yea, well New Zealand is such a small country down at the bottom of the planet that not too many people know of them (population 4.2 mil). Least of all as Kiwi's.

By the way I'm not a Kiwi despite my screen name. I've only been here 7 years.
