transmission valve body or a different problem?
my brother was driving going about 70 mph with cruise control when suddenly it wouldn't go faster than 30 mph he said that it was low 2 quarts so he put some in still the same thing he had towed home, so i looked at it drove it somehow it shifted into third but not to fourth i removed the power fuse to the tranny too put it in limp mode put into drive would go 30-35 but no faster it just accelerates nonstop now if i redline it will start picking up speed but very slowly and it can't be the cat previous owner gutted it fluid was nice and red doesn't smell
i also have a harsh 1 and 2 shift its also a 96 blazer 4l60e

Drove it today with tranny fuse removed put it in drive took off blazer started struggling sounding like it farting when I manually shifted to second it stopped struggling and reached 30 easily no problem seems to me its a pressure problem maybe you guys can chime in, when I rebuilt the tranny 2-3yrs ago I didn't change the valve body or the seperator plate in thinking that's it because it was rebuilt at 255xxx miles the plate looked a little worn the holes where the little ***** on the plate were slightly smaller than the *****
