Did it on my old 86 Chevy with a 4 barrel. But I had straight pipes and it was just a mud toy, I didn't really hear/feel a difference.

I'm running my 1993 GMC k1500 like this

There's a little difference with the circle air filter on my 350 small block I hear it sucking air in so It did open it up a bit. It's a cool old timer trick
