Default Very little experience with Chevys prior to this. Halp pls.

Oooooook. I'm completely rewriting my post.

So, I've acquired a 96 blazer 4.3 v6 vortec.
when I got her I noticed a few things, seemingly minor but she sounded good and etc..
however they had the coolant reservoir tank and radiator apparently a little rigged, as when I looked at first glance, was night by this time I could tell the reservoir tank was going to need replacement. OK so the coolant reservoir has 2 places to connect hoses, an upper and a lower. Originally I was unaware the upper hose spout was broken off. The lower spout hose ran right into the radiator next to the radiator cap. I got the new reservoir and am now unsure where the upper hose goes to. I ran the lower hose back the same way they had it... so if anyone out there can PLEASE PLEEEEAASEE show me some pictures of the routes the 2 hoses go, and where they lead into.. I would be incredibly grateful.

This was old crusty coolant tank, and im not sure if u can tell where the upper hose 'spout' has been broken off.

The new tank, i had not seated it yet when this picture was taken.. but it seems to clearly be pointing out the upperhose does have its role ro play.

Dang I should of drew a circle around it, but the pic of old tank you can see the bottom hose. The hose and bottom of pic, is connected to the radiator that just outside of frame. It is the hose going directly from lower hose 'spout' into the radiator below the radiator cap.

Pretty pretty freakin s#¡+ please can somebody with the same year/model 1996 chevy blazer LS
help me out here? Would be perfect if like somebody took pics of their hose paths from coolant tank

upper hose is the overflow drain, it goes down to the road.

Default Thank you

After a couple of hours underneath her not being able to find a damn thing, this is what I thought was probably the case. I've never owned a vehicle that had an overflow hose like that so, was a lesson learned. Thanks for the response, apologies it took a little while, bit again thanks for the confirmation.
