Thanks for the offer but I'm just curious. Seeing that check valve over there vs where it is on my gen 1 got my attention.

 

didnt need any tools, got the line from amazon and it is a high temp silicone hose. Flexible like rubber and easy to work with. Just a question, does that check valve ever need replaced? Thanks

 

Possibly, they are not hard to find so someone's buying them. I was working on my vac system and can tell you that sucking more than 20 lbs with a MightyVac will ruin it. They're easy to test with your mouth and should only let air through towards the manifold. I bought a Dorman to replace mine and it was bad from the start so I got one like is shown in that picture that is supposed to be genuine GM and it works.
