Default wanting to get a car

Well, I am going to be graduating school soon and starting college. I want to find an affordable car with good gas mileage for.me to commute to college. I want to the car to be easily modded as well. I don't want to get rid of my blazer though. I'd like to stick to chevy, but any American made car is fine. Any ideas on some cars? Pics of anyones car would be nice.

I used to have a 97 Grand Am with the Quad Four. Not a bad car, but a bit of a pain in the *** to work on.

I miss driving a car its been 2 years since my little saturn died on me.I loved that little car 34mpg hiway and 25 city.It was very reliable for a while. Not to mention it was a sporty car to get around in.I had Pontiac 6000 also with the 3.1 alot of power and about the same mpg as the saturn.Me and mrs had that car for 8 years bought it with 77k.It had 188k on it when it started developing issues. It blew the intake gasket and antifreeze ruin the bearings.Scrap prices were high at the time so to the scrapper it went.I got $375 for it.Been driving my GMC truck now for 2 years and Im tired of driving it.Wish I can get the my Jimmy going soon.

Take a trip down to the Carolinas. I bought a 93 Silverado back in 99, when I was stationed in Upstate NY (Fort Drum)... wish I'd have thought that one through a little better. It was a solid, reliable vehicle, but I spent a lot of time underneath it with an angle grinder.

There's plenty not to like about a Dodge. I was looking at a 3500 with the 5.9 Cummins in it, and what made me decide not to buy it was everything about the truck which wasn't Cummins.

I hate dodge, and I've never owned one. From what I see they rust out very badly. My friend has a 1500(I may be wrong), but I think fron the late 90's and there is more rust showing then I've ever seen.

Any chrysler product is just weird. My sis in law had an intrepid, and a voyager mini van. I worked on both for her, and some of the things the "engineers" designed for those cars was just plain dumb!
