Default Well she has been a good ride

Time to say good bye to the best ride I have ever had.

I have decided to make a hard choice and get rid of the Blazer. She has been for the last 22 years the best ride I have ever had. My wife passed away from Pancreatic cancer in February and I have chosen to pay off her SUV and drive it. It is 20 years newer and is ok. The engine and power train on the blazer are still very strong but the frame and the body have deteriorated to a point to where I feel she is no longer to safe to drive.

Thanks to everyone who I have communicated with on this board over the years and I wish you nothing but the best

Thanks again
Don from Ontario Canada

Sorry to hear of your losses. There are times when life tosses us into situations that we don't have much control over. Good luck and hope that your future is bright.

Well Don from Ontario...

Safety is always the first thing to consider while driving a vehicle. So a good choice was made either way. Really sorry to hear about your wife.

Best wishes from another

You have my condolences. Yeah it comes a point in life where a long-time beloved vehicle just can't hack it anymore. I've never had a vehicle that long, but I'm hoping to keep my current Blazer as long as possible. Stay safe out there.

I inherited my dad's 96 GMC Sierra with a 5 speed stick. It was a dream, but after having to replace the tranny and the master cylinder and dealing with a not-able-to-fully-stop antifreeze leak, and then the cruise going out I had to give it up to a guy I worked for that had the resources to bring it back. Miss that old truck but needed a reliable daily. So I'm feeling ya all the way around. I still get pangs of guilt when I think about the day I sold it.

Default Its Gone :((

Well I took it for its last ride this morning about 11:00am. Made it to the yard without any problems. I have to tell ya that having not driven it any distance since October it was pretty bad compared to my wife's 2018.

Good bye old friend

Don
