Can't believe you're leaving us for a Heep!!
But, I do kinda like it. It's ratty, but in the right kind of way. That's how I like my vehicles. And it seems like it will be plenty capable, as well.

Well I'm going up on Monday to look / trade & if looks good ill be bring it home. I'm sick of sticking money in my truck to make it a full size & jeep or not I love the look of most of the 60-80s trucks by American companies.
Lewhite- unless it has a 350 & awd ill pass. Besides its what's on the inside that count... All GM! With a vintage shell.

Hope it works out for ya. It doesnt look too bad other than that bit of *** cancer lol. Now ya just need some wood grain for the sides lol. I dont blame you, that is a very capable platform that is a lot cheaper to mod and has a lot more options, not to mention being vintage with a beast powering it.

The pics I uploaded are suppose to be to only cancer.. But we'll see. Other wise I wanted something alittle bigger with rear seats still. That had almost no computers ( I'm sick of checking sensor & codes to find the real problem.) & that had alittle rougher body that if I bump a tree or something it wouldn't ruin my day offroading. I'm gunna patch the rear corner & sand down the tail gate and herculiner the bottom half & paint the top half ethier flat black, olive green or sand tan. Haven't decided yet.

You cant go too wrong with those units;the early ones were better and you've a decent engine to boot! ALL parts to rebuild these are available and since the model just turned 50,you've got a nice piece of iron. I had a 1970 that had 3 different manufacturers represented:it said Jeep all over it,but also had an AMC name plate on the tail gate and had a Buick 350 with a TH400 trans and Dana axles.People tell me the factory never put Buick 350s in these, but they did indeed,as I received mine from the original owner from CA,towed it to VT and used it there for a year or two before the tin worm got to it: As usual...wish I never sold it...

The "GM" 6.2 is the Detroit Diesel 6.2. Make sure you take the heads off and have them magnafluxed. Those 6.2s are real bad for developing cracks in the heads. Then it becomes a matter of drilling and tapping, putting in a threaded insert, grinding it down until it's flush with the head (and you want to be extremely careful with this, as you absolutely do not want to gouge that head).
