I have several 1998 Blazers and one 2001. This grey wire is on the 2001 and I have no idea what it is for.

That would be for the option available from '00-'05 in which GM finally perfected the flux capacitor. Either your 2001 didn't have that option or a previous owner pulled it out to put in a Honda.


No...really!

Almost looks like a pre-made cable for tow lights (like the magnetic base lights used for on a car dolly, etc). It is definitely not factory.

As a matter of fact, this vehicle has the tow hooks removed on the front and tow connections for a tow bar attached. I think I'll just leave it where it is. Dang you are good.
