forget that, my power steering pump makes that noise for me (works perfect, just has the noise)

I have even told someone once that it was supercharged, they believed me (was not about to open the hood)

One of the bearings in the alternator(guessing) has whined for years, and it would get higher pitched as RPM went up. It sounded very similar to a supercharger.

Welp, the Blazer is almost through her 4th winter up here ... and it's starting to show.

Very few problems this year - nothing major. A plugged cat a month ago, and now we've got some squeaking coming from the rear brakes. With all the salt baths this thing has got this year, it's a wonder it's only the rear brakes squeaking. Brakes still work, and it stops fine, so that's going to be left alone until warmer weather. Was 3° this morning.

Also had to throw a bigger washer on the sheet metal screw securing the chrome fender trim. Was sticking out at least 4" on the passenger side. Of course, the wife never notices these things ...

I've had enough of working on cars in this crap - spent a few hours under my buddy's Volvo 940 yesterday replacing a harmonic balancer and timing belt drive gear after an incident caused by my worn out Craftsman impact swivel. Was 14° .. and got up to a balmy 20°. At least the car runs again ... and thank GOD that 2.3 B230 engine is a NON interference engine!!

Anyway ... check out the rust!

I know what you meen by the rust my 94 chevy truck has got realy bad this year.So bad that the driver side rear fender rusted off the bed and rear tire is exposed..the cross beams underneath the bed have rusted all the way through.I figure by the end of the winter my frame is probably going to be shot also.I wish instead of using salt the road departments would just a mix of 25% salt and the rest sand.I remember when I was younger they only plowed the roads here in Michigan and the roads were snow covered all winter.Drivers just learned how to drive on it.

A lot of people here up north will rust free southern trucks and bring them back up north to sell, they bring top dollar cause most of the trucks up here are rusted through and frames could be rusted and rotted so bad they break but tht exteriors look ok.I have been wanting to remove the bed from truck and undercoat the frame for a couple of years now.I hope after this winter my frame is still going to be ok and this summer I can rust proof my frame. If not Im just going to part the truck out.
