Today I changed out the thermostat and flushed the cooling system, Then added fresh Dex-Cool. When I was finished with that, I drained and filled the front and rear differentials with Castrol: Axle Limited Slip gear oil SAE 80W-90 and then I drained the transfer case fluid and refilled it with ACDelco Auto-Trak II "Smurfs Blood". Took her for a test drive “beer run” and it feels exactly the same as before I started lol, Keeps me out of trouble and gives me peace of mind.

Got nothing done today on the Jimmy, but I did get the por-15 kit in the mail today so I can fix the bottom of the drivers door on Saturday.

Just don't use Dorman as a replacement - mine started leaking just 2 years after installing them brand new while the engine was out ...

Got the new tires off the blazer and swapped with what was on my truck. The blazer is in the diagnosis process now. Metal in the oil so I may end up posting a classified for it soon. Sad but I'm running out of time and money to drop on it.

Bought some Dupli-Color Rust Fix rust converter and sprayed my leaf springs. It took one full can for each side. Wow, this stuff is GARBAGE, don't waste your money on it and try something else... it doesn't do what it claims.

Replaced the driver's side door hinge bushings AGAIN! Just did it last year, and the replacement bushings on the top hinge completely broke apart and fell out. Ordered GM parts online instead of the cheap Dorman stuff from the auto parts store...

Also had to straighten out the latch piece on the door post, which bent from slamming the mis-aligned door against it. Door closes perfectly now.

Hit 200,000 this week! (Check out the pic, but ignore the air bag light... ;-)

Default Replaced passenger side door handle.

My passenger door handle was not working and the outside was pretty pitted so I bought a replacement handle from NAPA and installed without any issues. The old door handle clip for the actuating rod came off that is why it was not working. This was on my 89 GMC S15 Jimmy.

heard a grinding noise when i used the breaks and i knew the pads were getting thin so i bought pads and rotors for the front, i got them installed and the grinding noise was still there so i pulled the rear tires off and checked them out and on the drivers side the inner pad has no material left so i put it back together and has to wait till tomorrow to get new rear pads because it was too late and s\that parts store was closed
