what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
Changed the oil and oil filter (5w30 full synthetic and a Purolator filter) and put my new filter magnet on the end of the oil filter, then installed a new 4L60E aluminum extra capacity, deep transmission pan with a magnetic drain plug, Purolator trans filter and Valvoline MaxLife ATF (Full Synthetic).

I "fixed" my driver door handle because it had broken off at one end by where the back of the window switches were.
I just poked a hole through both broken parts and zip tied them together :P
then the lower mount of my center console was broken. The bottom part had broken off... So i found some washers of varying sizes and bolted those down :P
Enjoy the pics of my half assed fix

The deep pan filter was not designed to work with this aluminum pan, the manufacturer specifically states to use the (Purolator P1211) which is a standard filter, not a deep pan filter. The deep filter that you're assuming is to be used will Not work with this application because of the manufactured casted filter supports located inside the bottom of this pan.
I'm very aware of the deep application filters and in fact replaced a factory "no drain plug" stamped steel deep pan for this aluminum high volume pan, but thanks for lookin' out.

Oh, and by the way... I did try to install the pan with a new deep filter the first time around but the pan was pressed against the filter with an inch space between it and the trans, So I read the installation instructions and ran to the auto parts store for the standard filter lol. Problem solved.

since I replaced an axle seal, I've been meaning to top off the oil in the front diff.. so I finally did that today. Also used some belt conditioner stuff to eliminate a squeal. ALSO realized I have an exhaust leak -.- the muffler outlet is leaking.. which means a good excuse to buy a nice muffler!
Also, i think my rear main is leaking. Every morning there's a few drips of oil under my truck, right under where the tranny and engine connect. Those rubber plugs have a bit of oil on them. What's the little cover for at the bottom of the tranny right near the engine? I don't have a picture, but I figure you either do or do not know what I'm talking about
