I ordered some parts!
4 ball joints
1 idler arm
1 pitman arm
1 set of pads for the front
Just got it out of the shop after they put 5 new tires on her.
Replaced the torsion bar mounts and 4wd cable and switched it to the cable operated! Thank you guys for the how to! And I'm about to bleed the brakes... My fluid has black crap in it. Hope to take pictures as I do it

During the summer months I like to run a 180 degree thermostat in the Blazer to keep it running cool while sitting in traffic, I always end up servicing or installing a couple central air conditioning systems in Palm Springs when it's in the triple digits out in the desert, it's not uncommon for it to get over 120 degrees out there. This past week I planned to swap the 195 degree stat back in the Blazer before the check engine light starts to tell me P0128 - "Engine Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature" as it will in the winter months if I leave the 180* stat in. So I take the thermostat housing neck off to access the stat and find that the end of the neck is rusting away. So there goes what should have been a quick swap. I hunted down a new neck at the local parts house and then flushed the system before putting the 195* stat in. By the way... I don't care how much thought ya put into placing a pan under the truck to catch the Antifreeze, it will always pour on the garage floor right next to the pan.
I just took off the stock steering wheel and thoughr I was going to replace it with a corvette wheel . Well it wasnt just a straight swap over as the vette wheel is flat across with no dish. This would have my knuckles banging the turn signal wand. Its a new Corvette wheel and worth about $650; really nice! I think I can cut the splines out and reweld them about 1.250" farther down.
The other thing planned is longer lower ball joints. This will lower the front about half to three quarters inch and bring the bump steer and camber gain a little closer to correct, but nowhere near correct. I laugh a little when I read about the mud mavens a cranking their keys and a shackling their springs to then install wrong offset wheels without a thought about front end geometry.

Well New England just had its first snow on Wednesday. I drive ole blue 45 min to work and she wasn't liking the traction so I switched her into 4hi and she was like aaaaah ok lets ride. Now her check engine light is on the dio says right side speed sensor hmmm.
I moved mine from its indoor home back to my place where she now resides outside out in the eliments. Not probably the best thing but @ $100.each month I need the extra cash.It need washing anyways. It was just covered in thick dust so now its clean.
Wheel wells rusted and didn't want to co-operate (expected somewhat). Going to swap fenders from other project already cut for flares. Decided going this far might as well swap the rad support, moving the rad forward, and install electric fans. Lots to do, gotta work tomorrow!
